Donald Trump’s campaign is currently struggling for an identity and messaging to attack Vice President Kamala Harris.
After unhinged rants, Republicans should be “reimbursed for fraud” for money spent running against Biden, derogatory comments about American POWs and veterans buried in places like Normandie and Arlington, and pleas for Christians to vote so future elections won’t be necessary, he has resurrected his birther rhetoric, questioning whether his opponent is Constitutionally-qualified or even “black.”
Without any evidence, Trump claims foreign leaders would “play her like a toy” and “look at her and they say we can’t believe we got so lucky. They’re gonna walk all over her.”
Such statements from a former president who preaches a failed-1930s isolationist foreign policy and is more than willing to cozy up to dictators at the expense of America’s historic and democratic allies are laughable.
His former National Security Advisor, John Bolton has unequivocally stated, “I think they think … Xi Jinping, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong Un, and others … they think he’s a laughing fool. And they’re fully prepared to take advantage of him. Trump’s self-absorption makes it impossible for him to understand that,” adding “And, having been in the room with him, in meeting those people, having listened in, on his phone conversations, I don’t think they are really friendly with Donald Trump.”
Meanwhile, the Vice President has earned the respect of and credibility from America’s friends and allies and was involved in yesterday’s historic prisoner exchange involving seven European nations including Germany and resulting in the release of 16 people, including three Americans and a US Green Card holder, illegally imprisoned in Russia a deal which could never have happened during a Trump administration!
