“In my great and unmatched wisdom …”

President Trump (Oct 6, 2019)

Donald Trump continues to live in his own alternative universe in which he continually boasts that he alone knows “more than anyone” about almost everything.

When talking about drones over the border, “No one knows more about this technology than I do

From a draft dodger; “There is nobody bigger or better at the military than I am

From a president who is constantly under criticism by the Pentagon; “I know more about ISIS than the generals

From a president who only loves the courts when they rule in his favor, “I know more about courts than any human being on earth

From a man who’s companies have arguably filed for at least four and possibly six bankruptcies … and who couldn’t borrow a nickel from any New York bank, “I am the king of banking

When talking about the trade war with China he proclaimed, “I am the chosen one.”

The fact that these staements are not only blatently false, they are simply ridiculous, his “base” hangs on his every boast.  When challenged, they simply respond that, “It’s Trump being Trump” and dismisse any criticism.

Despite the president’s oath to “execute the office of president of the United States and, to the best of his ability, to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States”, Trump has spent 2½ years, mounted ongoing challenges to the separation of powers, the rule of law, and fundamental personal and civil liberties enshrined in our founding documents.

The president has weaponized fear of others to agitate and kindle divisions across our society; demonizing everyone who disagrees with his distorted view of what America stands for … respect for human dignity, tolerance and recognized equality for individuals of every creed, nationality, race, gender, religion/non-religion and political party affiliation.

While Trump’s inane boasts can be brushed off, other utterances of the president can carry life and death consequances and all-too-often reflect on the type of autocratic system a wannabee presidnet-for-life Donald Trump envisions.

When quesitoned about Russian interterence in the 2016 elections, which every U.S. intelliegnce agency can document, the president tells the world, that Putin said he didn’t do it.

His recently documented phone call with the president of Ukraine where any rational listener/reader of the transcript could onl y conclude a quid pro quo … a White House visit and military aid for opening an investigation into former View President Biden and his son.  And “NO!”, Jim Jordan, Lindsey Graham and other GOP Senators, thje whistleblower rules did not change.

Staanding in front of reporters and stating, “China should start an investigation into the Bidens, because what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with — with Ukraine,”  Again, NO!” Jim Jordan and others, this was not a joke.

The president, after a call with the president of Turkey aannounced a total pull out of all US troops in Syria.  Eliciting opposition from his own party, he claims to have told Turley that If Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I've done before!),"

And accused several proominent members of Congress of treason for their pat in the impeachment process … which is enshrined without limitation in the Coosntitution in the House of Representatives … about which I suspect the president knows little or he would have told us.

Recently, retweeting right-wing nutcase, Pastor Jeffress, President Trump tweeted that "If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal,"   Such incendiary statements from a president border on sedition.

Meantime, Republican members of the House and Senate, whose obligation is to the constitution … not a president … are frightened to buck the president
